"milk was a bad choice"
Have
you ever heard the term, “milk does a body good”? Though we are brought up to
believe that, in fact truth is it’s the complete opposite. Recently there was a
study in Sweden
and found that women consuming 3 glasses of milk a day had almost 2x the mortality
than those of a half glass. In fact, bones fractures and hip breaks were not
even improved.
Now
there are different dairy products that do help. In particular cheese and
yogurt. These products do not carry D-galactose, like milk does. D-galactose, is
a breakdown product of lactose that has been shown to be pro-inflammatory. Milk
has much more D-galactose than does cheese or yogurt. Which helps reduce
fractures and decreased mortality by 10-15%.\

cause of consuming milk could be
- · Dairy intake has been linked to increased risk of prostate cancer
- · Higher dairy intake is linked to higher ovarian cancer risk
- · Whey protein may play a significant role in causing type 1 diabetes through a process called molecular mimicry
- · Populations that consume more dairy have higher rates of multiple sclerosis
- · Casein Protein promotes cancer initiated by a carcinogen in experimental animal studies
- · Higher milk intake is linked to acne
- · Milk intake has been implicated in constipation and ear infections
- · Milk is perhaps the most common self-reported food allergen in the world
- · Much of the world’s population cannot adequately digest milk due to lactose intolerance.
Think
about these things the next time you want to consume a tall glass of chocolate
milk. I’m not saying it’s not delicious, but you might be paying for it later
in the bathroom.
